Judges
The judges for the Nordic Championships 2024 have been chosen according to the “Manual and Guideline of The Nordic Championship”, by the Nordic Icelandic Horse Corporation, NIHC.
Gæðingakeppni
In Gæðingakeppni the team consists of five judges. Every participating country may suggest one judges but the final decision is up to the organisers. The judges for Gæðingakeppni are the following:
Valdimar M. Ólafsson from Iceland. He will both be judging and is going to be the chief judge. Valdimar has been chosen by the organising country.
Stefán Ágústsson from Iceland, landsdómara and chosen by Iceland.
Mathilde Hjort from Norway, landsdómara and chosen by Norway.
Nina Bergholt from Sweden, landsdómara and chosen by Norway.
Amalie Haubo-San Pedro from Denmark, landsdómara and chosen by Denmark.
Sport
In sport the team is composed of ten judges plus an eleventh chief judge, which will not be actively judging on the track. Each of the six attending countries is allowed to choose a judge, the remaining four judges plus the chief judge will be appointed by the organising country.
Stefan Hackauf from Germany. He will be chief judge and not actively judging on the track. Stefan is chosen by the organising country.
Peter Häggberg from Sweden, FEIF-judge and chosen by Sweden.
Anna Andersen from Finland, FEIF-judge and chosen by Finland.
Rune Svendsen from Norway, FEIF-judge and chosen by Norway.
Lise Galskov from Denmark, FEIF-judge and chosen by Denmark.
Lena Lennartson from Sweden, FEIF-judge and chosen by the Faroe Islands.
Elisabeth Jansen, FEIF-judge and chosen by Iceland.
Sigríður Pjetursdóttir from Iceland, FEIF-judge, chosen by the organising country.
Birgit Quasnitschka from Germany, FEIF-judge, chosen by the organising country.
Lise Brouér from Denmark, FEIF-judge, chosen by the organising country.
Andreas Windsio from Germany, FEIF-judge, chosen by the organising country.

The organisation commitee behind the NM2024 has a lot of experience in competitions and events for Icelandic horses.
The project manager of NC 2024 is Lisa la Cour Júlíusson. She is one of the organizers and the competition leader behind the Aros Gait Event. She is the organizer and competition leader of many big World Ranking Events in Denmark, throughout the years. She is also a member of the Sports Commitee in The Danish Icelandic horse Association (DI).
The leader of the secretary and competition is Trine Winther. She has been organizing competitions for approx. 20 years. Organizer in Saga Svendborg both DRL and WR.
She is a part of the secretariat of the Icehorse Festival and has organized a number of Danish Championships both in Herning and in Svendborg, as well as competition leader for these. Been part of the secretary of WC since 2017.
On an everyday basis Trine works with quality assurance of medical equipment.
Anders Kajhøj Hansen is the chairman of DI Sports Commitee and Chairman and competion leader of many WRL competions and other events for the club Ganti. Anders will be in charge of Sponsors and Exhibitors
Stine Sandahl who is going to be in charge of communication and PR has also many years of experience and have done World Championships in 2015 and 2021, Nordic championship i 2024, World Toelt and is one of the founders of the indoor World Ranking event Icehorse Festival in Herning. Stine has her own graphic design company and a small studfarm Haarbygaard Hestar.
Andreas Hejndorf is our technical wizard, and makes everything from sound to livestream work, so other’s don’t have to worry about it. He has many years of experience from competitions in the local club Tvistur, several Danish Championships, Icehorse Festival and World Championships, and is the man behind icecompass.com In civil he works with online software for rankings and competition management
